Hey there, fellow wanderers!  Jon here, and boy do I have a tale to tell you about my time at Thryve. As one of the founding partners of Wonder and Wander, I was brought in to work with Thryve and help them streamline their communication with church administrators. And let me tell you, it was a doozy of a challenge.

But I never back down from a challenge, and with Flutter at my fingertips, I knew we could make something amazing. So, in just three short weeks, I built and launched a native iOS and Android app for Thryve, complete with push notifications. And let me tell you, the result was nothing short of epic.

By using Flutter, I was able to connect to native push notifications and create an app that would allow church administrators to receive updates from Thryve in real-time. No more waiting around for emails or missed messages, the app provided an easy and streamlined way for administrators to stay up-to-date.

To make things even better, we leveraged Google sign-on for both iOS and Android, making the app easy and accessible for all users. And to fix any mobile responsive UI bugs, we used a simple web wrapper of their current mobile responsive page. It was like building with legos, piece by piece until it all fit together perfectly.

The new app was a game-changer for Thryve. Church administrators could now respond in real-time, eliminating any communication roadblocks that had previously existed. And the best part? The largest requested feature was shipped, providing the foundation for further development.
